Holiday is a strange concept. It is like a self-administered pat on the back, a self-reassurance that I've done well even though I may not have done anything. Never quite get it. Sometimes, I even find it slightly depressing. We have dropped so low that pat on the back for doing something is perhaps no longer enough, we wish to be rewarded for no apparent reason. Yet amidst the bright lights and cheerful news casters, a sore fact remain: nothing changed. The world has not become more peaceful. Argument not any less audible. My 3D printing not magically better as a result of this magical festive period. Chinese New Year is somewhat like Christmas. Giving gifts, receiving rewards, taking in lessons from the previous 365 days to bring to the next.
